RYA Day Skipper Theory (Express)

Delivered at our Thames-side Club House by our team of expert Instructors, our RYA Day Skipper Theory course is designed to take students from complete beginner to having sufficient knowledge to complete the RYA Day Skipper Practical course. 

The course covers all fundamental skills for a skipper- 

• Chart work and Navigation 
• Passage planning 
• Safety Protocols and Equipment 
• Weather forecasting 
• Rules of the Road

The course is held every Wednesday evening and alternate Satrudays from February to the end of April. 

Completing the course over an extended period allows our students to- 

• Engage and understand the material without the time pressure to get it right first time
• Take part in Club life, find opportunities to sail, and make friends with other sailors 
• Go beyond the basics of the Day Skipper syllabus
