Lindisfarne Radar /or other Training Weekend 22 February - total of 4 spaces available. Lindisfarne is a 42 foot gentleman's motor yacht built in 1980 and based on a design widely used for pilot and police boats. She has twin 220 horsepower engines and can sleep 5 in four separate cabins. She is ideal for training purposes and any of the skills learnt are readily transferable to sailing boats. Radar and other basic nautical training weekend for those new to boating or undertaking courses at the Little Ship Club, or you simply want to get more out of your radar sets or anything else you want basic training for Radar can do far more than simply tell you from a blib on the screen that there is a ship or a buoy ahead of you, and if you do not alter course, a collision may be inevitable. Learn how to use the VRM and EBL for navigation position fixing. Targets and closest point of approach (CPA). Time to CPA (TCPA). We will join the Little Ship Club Fast Cruise 5 at Southampton for the Saturday evening dinner, and then do a night pilotage exercise with radar.
