Service Description

Master the fundamentals of sailing with our comprehensive RYA Day Skipper Theory course. Designed for both novice and experienced sailors, this course provides the essential theory knowledge to navigate confidently in familiar waters by day and undertake the RYA Day Skipper practical course on the water. Our expert and experienced instructors will guide you through key topics including: - Chartwork and navigation: Learn to read and interpret charts, plot courses, and confidently navigate coastal waters. - Meteorology and tides: Understand weather patterns, tidal influences, and how to plan your voyages accordingly. - Seamanship and boat handling: Master essential seamanship skills and boat handling techniques for safe and efficient sailing. - Collision regulations and safety: Learn the rules of the road and essential safety procedures to protect yourself and your crew. Unlock your potential as a skilled skipper. Our course includes the RYA Day Skipper student pack, and discounted navigational instruments are available. Completing the RYA Day Skipper allows you to apply for the ICC (International Certificate of Competence) and charter boats abroad. Looking to complete this course faster? Try our Express Course consisting of 44 hours of tuition over 10 weeks run on ten Wednesdays nights from 19:00-21:00 and five Saturday classes from 09:30-16:30 (spaced at fortnightly intervals) Ready to embark on your sailing adventure?
