Learn advanced splicing techniques that preserve line strength without heavy hardware. Hosted at our Thameside clubhouse, this two-evening workshop covers single-braid, double-braid, and three-strand lines. Perfect for race crew and rig-conscious boat owners looking to build custom soft shackles, reeving loops, and rope-to-chain splices. Full Syllabus: • Line & Rope Splicing: Crafting precision eye splices in three-strand, hollow single-braid, and double-braid synthetic lines. • Rigging & Custom Hardware: Construction of reeving loops for halyards and custom Dyneema soft shackles. • Ground Tackle & Structural Integrity: Executing low-profile splicing of rope to chain for anchor setups and lock-stitching to preserve load limits. Course Inclusions & Equipment: Tuition includes practice materials and a comprehensive splicing handbook to keep, along with all professional splicing tools provided on the day of the course (with complete tool sets available to purchase on-site for £30). Non-member tickets also include a complimentary 1-month trial membership granting full access to clubhouse bar and dining privileges.
