Service Description
Course Overview This advanced RYA theory course is for sailors progressing beyond Day Skipper level. It provides the advanced navigation and seamanship skills needed to skipper yachts on longer coastal and offshore passages, and prepares you for the RYA Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams. What will you learn - Advanced chartwork, navigation and position fixing - Passage planning, tidal calculations and stream predictions - Use of almanacs and Admiralty publications - Weather forecasting and interpreting barometric pressure - Collision regulations in detail - Safety, emergency procedures and yacht stability Who this course is for - Sailors with RYA Day Skipper Theory (or equivalent) - Skippers working towards the RYA Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore certificate - Cruisers preparing for extended coastal or offshore voyages Why train with the Little Ship Club The Little Ship Club is located in the heart of London and offers expert instruction in a welcoming, supportive environment.
